Magazin online cu sediul in Bulgaria

Asadar nu va consumati disponibilul  in directia asta.
Va puteti documenta despre ele pe forumul dedicate si analizati fiecare in parte daca merita propunerea mea. Mult success!

Bilete avion Baia Mare

Enforced sex lessons from the age of five

UK Enforced sex lessons from the age of five
Taken from CF NEWS here of the National Association of Catholic Families
Parents are currently allowed to withdraw their children from sex education lessons, but speculation is growing that the Government's answer to record abortion numbers among schoolgirls is to start sex education with five-year-olds and scrap the parental opt-out. Figures released this week show a 21 per cent leap in abortions for under-14s between 2006 and 2007. The overall number of abortions reached an all-time high. Under the current law schools must teach the biological facts about sex in science lessons to secondary school pupils. But anything more than this is not compulsory and parents can ask for their children not to be included.
In February the Government launched a review of sex education. It includes considering targeting primary schools and scrapping the parental opt-out. The UK Youth Parliament was asked to play a leading role in the review. The group supports removing a parent's right to withdraw their child from sex lessons. According to The Times, Ministers have repeatedly hinted that the proposal will be adopted. But the Department for Children, Families and Schools has said it has 'no current plans' to make sex lessons compulsory. Other articles in this week's newspapers also report the speculation that the Government intends to force compulsory sex lessons on five-year-olds. But critics say more sex education is not the answer. After decades of the 'safer sex' approach Britain still has the highest rate of teenage pregnancy in western Europe. More than 20 schoolgirls become pregnant in England every day. Sexually Transmitted Infections have risen sharply amongst teenagers. [Christian Institute] 1458.18

Well all I can say is if they come for my little girls & boys....well they'd best watch out!! Likewise if they try & pervert my teenagers....!!!! Bring them on!!

I don't suppose you take your youngest children into cafes too often, so haven't come across them going into the loo, and asking what the condom machine is for? That's what recently has been happening with our boy, having stopped for lunch at a local supermarket recently. He thinks it's some kind of chewing gum, at present, but I think he senses his Dad's unease when discussing it! We feel like ripping the things off the walls when we come across them in all these supposedly "family friendly" places...but then we'd have the dilemma of explaining why Mummy and Daddy were being sent to prison for destroying chewing gum machines!!! This society is out to pervert our children BIg time.

Fortunately as you say they don't often go out...& haven't noticed those machines...we've only just let the boys get changed alone in the boys changing rooms also. Still their Primary School the Oratory is excellent in this sensitive area..

A "Big" Update

Not big in the sense that I have some great announcement or have actually accomplished a thing (Weight - 145 pounds. Still, pffft!) but a big update in the sense that I haven't updated in forever. I had a really busy work week and had to make the choice between leisure time on the computer and actually working out. For once I chose working out.

So here's what I've been up to the last week.
  • I've religiously stuck to the low-fat eating plan. This is in spite of the most incredible food craving I've ever suffered through in my entire life. Yesterday I would have given my left arm for a McDonald's coke and fries. Instead I settled for a hard boiled egg and some raw broccoli. It just wasn't the same, let me tell you, but the craving passed once I got some protein in me.
  • Still no treatment effects but I attribute that to following the low-fat eating plan. I'm beginning to think that if you just eat smart and don't cheat you escape all the scary parts of taking Alli but I'm not letting my guard down.
  • It was that time of the month. (Have I mentioned how I simply can't believe the intimate things that I'm reluctant but willing to disclose on this blog?) My weight shot up to 148 pounds. I'm back down to 145 now but I feel like I've lost an entire week's worth of progress.
  • I've started working out. 40 minutes a day on a stationary bike (goal: 6 to 7 days a week) plus a work out with light weights (goal: 3 days a week).
For those of you curious about Alli, today is day #19 for me and I've lost 5 pounds. It's been an up and down kind of thing but there's a hormonal component in there that's not the fault of Alli or my eating habits. Hopefully now that I've added some exercise into the mix my weight loss will get a serious kick start.
I REFUSE to get discouraged and I still credit Alli for keeping me honest on the low-fat diet. I may not be shedding the pounds as quickly as I'd like but at least now I'm more motivated than I've ever been before. Knowing that The Enforcer (Alli) will punish me with treatment effects makes me focus on my goal and keeps me from cheating.

Quick question... the scale you have, is it just a regular scale that gives full pound numbers? I obviously use one that has increments of 0.2. I have to say, it's really motivating to me that I can see a 0.2 loss for the day instead of it just saying the same whole number for 3 or 4 days. At least I have something to grasp on to of what I did right or wrong the day before. It's something to think about.

My scale gives the weight in whole pounds. I've thought about getting one with the .2 increments but decided against it. I obsess enough over the whole numbers. LOL! Thanks for the suggestion though.

Alli Bloggers Update

Since I bemoaned the lack of bloggers documenting their experiences with Alli the list has grown quite a bit, from 3 last Wednesday to 19* today. They're all listed in the column to your left under the cleverly entitled heading "alli Bloggers".

If you're looking to support (or commiserate with) your fellow low-fat Alli fantatics be sure to check them out.

If you are actually using Alli and would like your blog added leave me a comment and I'll be happy to add you ~ and good luck!

*If anyone is interested in adding the list to their own blog just let me know. I plan on moving it into blogrolling and I'll be happy to share the code.

I just love that you added my blog, thanks!

That Didn't Last Long

Well that certainly didn't last long, did it? Of course I have a fabulous excuse, what unsuccessful dieter doesn't? I don't even think I made it through a week of dieting and blogging before I quit in March. I'm not even certain that the "diet" even counted as a diet since I hadn't exactly worked out what I was doing before I quit.

I won't bore you with the excuse, although I assure you that it was a doozy, but I do apologize to Renee at Fatfighters. I practically begged her to put me on the FitRoll (see left column) in March, assuring her that I was responsible blogger and that I'd be around forever, and then I just dropped out of site. Of course she's since removed me from the roll and she's completely justified in doing so. I am sorry, Renee. Don't worry, I'm not sucking up just to get back on the blogroll. Maybe once I actually establish a good blog I'll come crawling back, but I won't bother you until then. I am keeping the blogroll up because it's a great community of bloggers.

So since March I've actually gained weight. Yeppers, I'm up to 150 pounds now. Ouch. At 5 feet tall that's more than a little rollie pollie and not the least bit attractive, especially when catching a flash of myself nude in the bathroom mirror. That's a sight to be avoided at all costs in the future! Unfortunately, just not looking at the fat doesn't make it go away.

So let's try this diet thing again, shall we?

Alli Weight Loss Bloggers Unite!

Before I decided to try the Alli weight loss drug I scoured the blogosphere looking for bloggers who were using the Alli and blogging about their experiences. I was disappointed to find that although there were a lot of bloggers blogging about Alli, few had ever actually tried it. I've started an Alli bloggers blogroll and I'm sad to say that so far there's only 3 bloggers on it. You can't tell me that with this stuff flying off of the shelves more people aren't blogging about it!

This is who I have so far:
  • Fat for now
  • I Think Therefore I Blog
  • Teachnfool's Alli Blog
Are you a blogger actually using Alli? Leave me a comment and I'll add you to my blogroll*.

*If/when the roll gets long enough I'll move it into blogrolling and offer the code to everyone.

Annaliese Please add me to your Alli blog. I'm using it 19 day's to be exact. So far I lost 14.5 pounds, but not all of them are a result from Alli. I started my diet without it first and after I lost weight I started Alli. Good luck to you, and thanks for leaving the encouraging comment on my blog. Nice to know like minded people!
